A small, broadly columnar, deciduous tree with leaves that are divided into as many as 17 leaflets, blue-green above and blue-grey beneath, that turn red in autumn. Domed clusters of small, white flowers open in late spring, and these are followed by white fruits, often with a pink flush towards the top.

Soil: Grows well in most fertile, well drained soils, but prefers acidic soils.

Aspect: Full sun.

Suitable Locations: Parks, gardens, urban sites.
