Acer campestre ‘Red Shine’
A small to medium sized deciduous tree with a narrow pyramidal habit. The new leaves first appear crimson in spring slowly fading to greenish red in summer, before turning bright yellow in autumn. The yellow green flowers appear in May and later develop into pairs of winged seeds.
Soil: Rich, well drained. Chalk, clay.
Suitable Locations: Streets, parks, verges.
Other: Tolerates drought and air pollution.
