A vigorous large tree that is normally taller than it is wide. Suited to large gardens. The bold, bright green leaves are divided into 5 lobes edged with taper pointed teeth. The leaves turn yellow, occasionally red in autumn. It has conspicuous clusters of yellow blooms opening in spring before the leaves emerge.

Soil: Chalk, clay.

Suitable Locations: Large gardens, avenues, parklands.

Other: Drought and pollution tolerant.
