Acer rufinerve
A striking, medium-sized snakebark maple most suitable for small gardens. It has arching branches and green bark conspicuously streaked with white. The dark green leaves grow to about 13cm in length and are sharply toothed and shallowly 3 lobed. In autumn, the foliage turns from green to orange/yellow and red/purple. Small yellow green flowers are produced in spring followed by fruits which often have red flushed wings.
Soil: Moist, well drained.
Aspect: Full sun or part shade.
Suitable Locations: Small gardens.
