A large, broad crowned deciduous tree with light green palmate leaves that emerge in spring, each with 7 spreading, ovate to oblong leaflets. The leaves mature to dark green in summer; autumn colour is usually yellow and brown. Showy double white flowers with red or yellow markings appear in upright terminals in mid spring. This variety produces no fruit.

Soil: Prefers chalk soil, but will grow well in all soil types.

Aspect: Full sun or part shade.

Suitable Locations: large gardens, avenues, parkland.

Other: Pollution resistant.
