A large deciduous tree with a rounded to broadly conical habit. The leaves are palmately compound, dark green with 5 to 7 lobes. There is no appreciable autumn colour. Panicles of salmon pink, to light red flowers appear from late spring.

Soil: Thrives in any soil.
