Crataegus x lavallei
A small, robust hawthorn tree with a dense network of branches forming a rounded habit. Long, glossy dark green leaves turn an attractive orange/red in autumn. Clusters of white flowers appear in early summer, followed by red berries which persist throughout winter.
Soil: Grows well in any soil type, but needs good drainage.
Aspect: Full sun or part shade.
Suitable Locations: It will tolerate exposure such as high altitudes and coastal locations. Small gardens, City/urban gardens, parklands.
