A vigorous, large deciduous tree. The trunk is grey and brown and features cream coloured, flaking bark. The large, bright and glossy green leaves can be up to 25cm across and are divided into 3 to 5 toothed lobes.

Soil: Well drained, humus rich moist soil.

Aspect: Full sun or part shade, Sheltered or exposed.

Suitable Locations: Urban, street plantings, parklands.

Other: Tolerant of air pollution and pruning.
