A spreading, medium sized deciduous tree with bright, deep yellow shoots bearing narrowly lanceolate mid-green leaves.  Insignificant, slender yellowish catkins appear in early spring.

Soil: Will cope with most soils except the very dry. Prefers damp soil.

Aspect: Full sun or part shade.

Suitable Locations: Coastal, cold and exposed, screening, damp sites.
