Sorbus aucuparia ‘Cardinal Royal’
A medium sized, deciduous tree with an upright and compact shape. It bears dainty, dark green leaflets on ascending branches, becoming orange and red coloured in autumn. Creamy white flowers appear in spring, followed by bright red berries in autumn, which are readily consumed by wild birds.
Soil: Thrives on most well drained soils, including acid ones.
Aspect: Full sun.
Suitable Locations: Streets, gardens, parks and urban sites.
Other: Tolerant of the reflected heat and light associated with urban planting.
