A fast-growing, medium-sized tree with a broad, pyramidal crown. The leaves consist of 9 – 17 lanceolate leaflets, 5 – 7 cm long, red stems and have a finely serrated edge, turning to shades of yellow, orange and red in autumn. The large felt-like flower umbels consist of many white flowers, followed by yellow fruits appearing as early as August.

Soil: Prefers slightly acidic soil, but will thrive in most other types.

Aspect: Full sun or part shade.

Suitable Locations: Verges, avenues, streets and woodlands.
