Sorbus intermedia -Swedish Whitebeam
A vigorous, medium sized, broadly columnar to rounded tree with dark green leaves, grey-green beneath, that are sharply lobed and toothed, more deeply toward the base. Dense clusters of small, white flowers open in late spring, followed by broadly egg-shaped, bright red fruits.
Soil: Will grow well in most rich, well drained soils.
Aspect: Full sun or part shade.
Suitable Locations: Gardens, parks, coastal and urban sites.
Other: Tolerant of air pollution, wind resistant.
