A mid-sized deciduous tree of broadly conical habit with upright branches and heart-shaped, glossy dark green leaves with serrated edges that turn a buttery yellow in autumn. Fragrant, pale yellow flowers that attract bees and insects appear in spring. An excellent street or avenue tree.

Soil: Will thrive on most well drained, alkaline or neutral soil.

Aspect: Full sun or part shade. Sheltered. Avoid expose to cold, drying winds.

Suitable Locations: Parks, woodlands, avenues and urban sites.
