David has always had a keen interest in horticulture and at the age of 15, he started growing and selling plants from his garden at home and later, with the help from his parents set up a small retain nursery. In 1977, along with his wife Ann, David formed D.W.Frost (Wholesale Nurseries) Ltd to focus on his love for growing plants. He became the joint managing director at Glendale Industries Limited in 1989, a thriving landscaping and grounds maintenance company. After 4 successful years, David left to concentrate on D.W.Frost (Wholesale Nurseries) Ltd. As Managing Director, David ensures a smooth running of the growing nursery.

Hobbies: Restoring and working vintage tractors.

Ann worked in a local firm of stock brokers, firstly as a junior in the stock transfer department working her way to the position of secretary to the senior partner. During 1977, Ann jointly formed D.W.Frost (Wholesale Nurseries) Ltd with her husband David, having previously assisted with the running of David Frost (Trees) Ltd, which included a garden centre, nursery and landscaping department. Knowing very little about plants, Ann had to learn very quickly and through 35 years running the office and working in the plant centre when required, Ann has gained considerable experience in the industry. Ann now oversees the running of the office and attends to all HR issues and other duties that fall outside the remit of the other staff.

Hobbies: Horse riding, Reading, Classical Music and playing the piano.

Shem Hale (Sales Manager)

Shem started working at D.W.Frost (Wholesale Nurseries) Ltd in November 2015, having previously worked as a Sales Assistant in the retail sector. Shem is in charge of processing orders, delivery notes and invoices, updating the in-house stock management software, updating the website and social media pages and making sure the office runs smoothly. Having graduated from University with a BSc (Hons) in Education Studies and English, Shem has no previous experience in the horticulture sector and has had to learn everything from scratch.

Hobbies: Going to the cinema, reading and walking her Jack Russell.

Terry Copley (Plant Centre Manager)

Terry joined the team in May 2016 after working in the Landscape, Horticulture and Arboriculture industries since leaving school, with a break in the Armed Forces. Having more recently worked and managed in the Retail sector he brings over 35 years of experience, training and knowledge to the company to help guide, advise and assist trade and retail customers in his new role of Plant Centre Manager.

Hobbies: Socialising with friends and family, football and motor racing.
